Group Meetings

The  Group's monthly meetings are based around the principles of safe driving - they are for the preparation of those taking the IAM Advanced Test (Associates) and for the maintenance of driving skills of all group members. The general public are cordially invited to attend any of the meetings except the AGM.

From time to time there may be a guest speaker covering driving topics or matters of general interest to the motorist.

We do make new members and guests very welcome, and introduce you to members and committee - just make it known that you are new when you arrive at the door. Refreshments are available for 20p during the break.

Group Meetings are held on the second Tuesday / Wednesday of each month as shown below, at Wessex Water HQ. Claverton Down Road. A map can be found HERE courtesy of Multimap.

Please Note that the Group meetings on 14 May and 11June '08 will focus on 'Roadcraft - The Essential Police Driver's Handbook'.

'Roadcraft' is the foundation of Advanced Driving. It is the manual by which police drivers are trained and the Bath and District Group of Advanced Motorists have been given specific permission to show the DVD 'Roadcraft' to our members and associates.

During the May and June meetings it is intended to show the DVD and discuss the aspects of advanced driving concerned, such as - positioning - observation - coping with hazards such as junctions and roundabouts - motorway and night driving.
